Do I have to pay a rental deposit?
You do not need to pay a rental deposit.
Do I have to pay additional costs (utilities)?
There are no additional costs, except if you use our laundry service.
How is payment made – monthly, weekly, or in advance?
Payment is made monthly; in some cases we may ask for a prepayment.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, AMEX and TWINT.
Is there a minimum or maximum rental period?
There is no minimum or maximum rental period.
Is there a washing machine / dryer in the apartment or in the building?
A washing machine, tumble dryer and washing powder are available free of charge in the basement.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed.
How often is my apartment cleaned?
Your apartment is cleaned once a week, we propose daily cleaning from Monday to Friday for an additional cost.
Am I allowed to receive guests or have them stay overnight?
Every visitor that stays overnight in the apartment house must be announced to reception. For apartments, which are intended only for one person (single apartment), CHF 25.- per night is additionally charged. The number of overnight stays for visitors is limited in this type of apartment. We are happy to prepare your apartment for two people with an additional pillow, blanket and towels. Each visitor must pay city tax of CHF 4.20 per night and receives the BaselCard to use all public transport for free.
Can I use the address as my residential address?
Yes, you can use the address for your mail and parcels.
Is there luggage storage?
Yes, you can storage your luggage with us.
How does check-in work – is there a key, code, or self-check-in?
You will receive a code for the entrance door and information about where to pick-up your apartment key. Should you arrive during our office hours we are happy to welcome you personally. Outside opening hours self-check in is possible.
Can I check in earlier or check out later?
We will be happy to accommodate your needs, subject to availability.
Who is the contact person in case of problems in the apartment?
Please contact us by email at info@apartmenthaus.com or by phone on +41 (0) 61 261 80 20 if you have any questions or concerns. Monday to Friday, 7.30 am – 12.00 pm and 2.00 pm – 5.00 pm.  Outside these opening hours, our helpline is available to assist you.
Is the public transportation ticket (BaselCard) included?
Every visitor who stays overnight in the canton of Basel-Stadt receives one BaselCard per person per night in return for paying city tax. This is valid for the entire stay up to a maximum of 30 days. The BaselCard is issued at check-in.

Exception: In accordance with the city tax legislation, residents of the canton of Basel-Stadt are not subject to city tax and are therefore not entitled to the BaselCard.
Are there parking facilities?
We are located in the city centre of Basel, in a pedestrian zone. Access by car is permitted from Monday to Saturday between 5:00 am and 11:00 am.
The ‘Storchen’ car park is just a 3-minute walk from the apartments.
For stays of several nights or if you require monthly parking, we recommend the nearby ‘Steinen’, ‘Elisabethen’ and ‘City’ car parks.
